[Phoenix] – August 18, 2016 – Today, Western Window Systems, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality door systems and windows that help people live better, announced the company will relocate its office and manufacturing operations to a new 170,000-square-foot facility in Phoenix. The move will accommodate over 300 employees.

More than twice the size of the company’s current location—and just 1.8 miles away—the new facility is part of an increased investment in engineering and manufacturing capabilities and will accommodate future growth in generating innovative solutions for indoor-outdoor living. An expanded manufacturing area, designed for optimal productivity, will feature additional shipping docks, state-of-the-art CNCs and saws, and an updated cooling system. The new facility will also include increased space for sales, customer service, supply chain, IT, finance, and marketing.

“Western Window Systems is focused on making the best door systems and windows in North America and we’re thrilled to be moving into a new building in Phoenix that will provide room for long-term growth,” says Western Window Systems president and CEO Scott Gates. “We’re looking forward to expanding our relationships, introducing more innovative solutions for indoor-outdoor living, and offering our partners more consistency and better-quality products as we scale our operations.”

Working with international design firm Ware Malcomb, the executive team at Western Window Systems designed its office areas to not only reflect the culture of the company, but to double as a showroom where customers can experience the company’s vast array of products in real-life settings. The aesthetically inviting workplace—with polished concrete floors, a high-ceilinged lobby, and private patios—features games such as pool, pinball, and foosball; breakout rooms for frequent meetings; comfy seating; private outdoor patios; even a slide.

“These kinds of workspaces are usually reserved for tech companies, not manufacturers. But we’re not just any manufacturer,” says Gates. “We designed this space to give visitors a sense of who we are, and to give employees opportunities to wind down, stir their creative juices, and have fun.”

Construction of Western Window Systems’ new shop floor will be complete in December, with manufacturing work beginning January 2 (office spaces will be finished in March). Much of the move will take place during the company’s annual holiday shutdown from Christmas through New Year’s Day. The company has selected Layton Construction as its contractor. Cresa, an international corporate real estate advisory firm, is overseeing the design and construction process as well as some aspects of the move.

Western Window Systems’ new address will be:
2200 E. Riverview Dr
Phoenix, AZ 85034

All phone numbers will remain the same.
