Western Window Systems is bringing indoor/outdoor living to a new renovation series on HGTV, the cable channel with a focus on home improvement and gardening.

Called The Jennie Garth Project, the show stars actress Jennie Garth (best known for her role as Kelly Taylor on Beverly Hills, 90210) undertaking a complete gut-and-remodel on a 1970s ranch home in Hollywood Hills, California. The first episode of the series, which premiered on September 16, features Garth tackling the home’s living room. To transform the space, Garth chose several products from Western Window Systems.

“It was exciting to see our products get that kind of exposure,” says Western Window Systems sales representative David Stearns, who watched the first episode. “We had two pivot doors, two Multi-Slide pocket doors, Series 600 trapezoid door systems, and casements in the home. You could really see the difference they made to the living spaces.”

Stearns goes on to say the best demonstration of his company’s easy-to-operate door systems came from Garth herself.

“At the end of the show,” Stearns says, “she opens the sliders and exclaims, ‘With only one thumb!’”
